Discovery is an excellent addition to the Star Trek canon. Much better than the reboot movies. I have just started watching season 2, so my comments are based on the first season. The characters, actors, concepts, plotlines, and effects are excellent. If you loved the bold ideas and raw edges of the original series, you should tune in. My one point of criticism was how the main plot line of season one was wrapped up too quickly and neatly. I would have preferred to see this plot extend into the next season if needed. Guess that's not the way the TV biz works, though...
