Brain Dead has an amazing cast of actors, who are able to bring subtle humour without being over the top or downright goofy, still maintaining a constant sense of dread in this (so far) insidious plot. Mary Elizabeth Winstead's pretty face doesn't distract from her spot on portrayal of a person who hasn't figured out their life and is in a constant mess. Danny Pino, Aaron Tveit always complement without overshadowing Mary's character. Johnny Ray Gill gives a memorable performance and sketches an interesting character whose idiosyncrasies make him endearing. Nikki M James' character seems to have quite some room for improvement. Bottom line - Well written, plot-hole proof, sci-fi suspense comedy, with good looking and fine acting people.
