Did not see the original so did not know what to expect. It was entertaining as I like/love King’s stories, especially The Shining. It made visiting Timberline Lodge on Mt Hood a necessity. The plot was good, the cast was great but the clown wasn’t all that convincing. Would have been more impressive with Michael Keaton or Jack Nicholson in the title role. My choice in that role would be Keaton. My target bedtime is 10 PM. “It” was to run from 8 to 12:30. Though I would have liked to see how it would end, given that you can never be too sure with King, I packed it in at 10:30. I would have stayed up to finish “The Shining” or “Beetlejuice” or, for that matter, “Wolf Creek.” If I ever have the opportunity to see the ending I may have a different takeaway. I can hazard a guess that it might appropriately end in a “cliffhanger.”
