Watched the movie and it was a very well made film...considering the budget it had. Essie Davis played the part superbly as did the young Noah Wiseman. I have to disagree with some of the reviews. When we watch a film, in this case a ‘horror,’ we don’t necessarily have to jump out of our skins or get frantic about what may happen to the main characters. Let’s give an applause to the fine performances. From our point of view the director didn’t use the common directorial techniques, like, giving us fear and absolute suspense, which at times strays us away from noticing bad performances and in this film the actors were given the opportunity to give fine performances and to portray their fear and horror as actors...it’s their job to perform and not always rely on multimillion dollar CGI effects.
The movie served us with a very good level of film making and acting and all for $2 million dollars.
IMDb know their job as rotten tomatoes do and they both gave a very honest rating and review for this good quality low budget film.
