Going to avoid spoilers here, incase anyone wants to see it despite my recommendations (I am just some guy on the internet afterall) Leaves a lot to be desired, a step up from the last jedi, but that is not saying much. JJ Abrams was unfortunately left in a tough spot following Rian Johnson's "subverted expectations" and probably did the best he could, it just wasn't enough. Maybe worth seeing on a discounted ticket day. Dark Empire should not have been the inspiration for this film, I can definitely say that much.
