Action was good. That's about it. Lara cried nearly every episode. She is very dependent on her friends. To an unhealthy level of not being able to make decisions on her own. And her lack of knowledge in basic history and mythology is a shame. I found myself cringing at the humor. And distracted at the constant point to make Lara as basic as possible.

This was a solid movie. Not what the hype is. But really good. Better than most of what's come out lately. But compared to the past movies, this one fits right in the middle. I wouldn't say it was scary at all unfortunately. Just a good watch.

I'm disappointed in the writing. The characters are a bit boring also. It's beautiful for sure! Which is why I'm giving it two stars. It's just so beautiful. But this was a major step down from the other series. Which is unfortunate considering how large the cast is. I believe this may have been the issue. Too many characters to get to know. They all feel shallow and basic. There isn't anything new or interesting. And some of the character designs are awful. They feel like 2000s deviantART character designs. Neon colors for no reason. Pleather and antigravity heels? Is this late 1700s or 2017? Anyway, if you want a beautiful anime with some representation and you don't care about an interesting story or interesting characters then give it a watch. But you're not missing much if you don't.

Such an interesting mix of strange, horror, survival, and a bit of humor. Seriously great. Great acting, too. I highly recommend. The characters feel very real and interesting.

Great but very sad movie. Had me and the guy next to me crying in the movie theater. The acting was great. Go to a go theater though as the film is a bit dark in color. It was hard to see at times. I highly recommend this movie.

Honestly one of the best westerns out there. It's filmed very well for it's time. Interesting shots and great detail. The characters are interesting. The dialogue is great also. It's lighthearted and funny at times. I highly recommend. If you're a fan of Red Dead Redemption 2 this movie will scratch that itch.

Took me a while to get my hands on a DVD of this. I'm happy to now own a copy. I truly is a great movie. It's beautiful! And with fantastic story telling. And Lee Pace. What more could you want?

I was really excited to see this movie. I love Dr. Strange. But I was really excited to see Wanda get some more spotlight. She's had so much character development over the movies and series. Sadly, I was rather disappointed. There will be spoilers in this post from here on. They undid Wanda's development in order to demonize her. They wanted a crazed unhinged women antagonist. It felt really odd to see her like that when she had come so far. And it honestly felt really aimed at the overused story of a male sorcerer vs a woman witch. Man good woman bad. They took one of the coolest female characters they had and ignored her journey so Dr. Strange could destroy her. They had her ruthlessly killing people, desperately seeking children to kidnap, and attempting to kill a teenager. I know Wanda wanted children but she would have never done this. And I don't think blaming her Scarlet Witch powers is justification to what they did. Wanda had control of herself at the end of the tv series. She had finished mourning her lovers death and took responsibility for what she had done. She had embraced the Scarlet Witch and controlled it. They gave no rhyme or reason on to why she suddenly couldn't handle those powers. With all that said that wasn't all that was bad. This movie tried to fit as many new characters/ fan service into it as possible. Every scene felt like it was rushed. The rhythm of the movie was unnatural. There was no personal connections made. No real emotion behind any action. It felt like there was no soul put into this movie. Yes, there were cool characters and some cool scenes. But most of the movie was just big extravagant fights with no real emotion to balance it out. I thought going into this that it would be one of my favorite marvel movies. I didn't expect it to be so bad. I fear that the writing of marvel movies is slowly taking a turn for the lazy. I think this is a prime example. Unfortunately it seems Scarlet witch is yet another victim of Marvel's poor writing of women. It's sad to see so much work put into a character for it to be stripped of all of development just so Dr. Strange could have an enemy to destroy. Marvel should have done better.

Great show but... Spoiler ahead . . . . . . It was extremely unfortunate to see the most interesting character, with the most development and most future ahead, never reach her deserved ending. This whole series built a hard earned reward for Ruth that was cut short for no reason. There were many paths that could have been taken. For example, blaming the grandpa for the death of the nephew. He was a bad man who had personal connection to the whole case. He was old, stuck in his ways, and didn't deserve a good ending. But the writers slept on that option. Media is more and more often turning to killing off favorites for simple shock. It's overused and uninteresting and unfortunately knocked this series down. Lazy writing at the end of a series is enough to ruin it. For me this was written in the same font at Game of Thrones. They fumbled at the end.

Don't let the description on Google confuse you. It's a bit misleading. This movie is serious, dark, and tackles some very uncomfortable topics. I believe this movie got negative reviews because it shines a light on the very real treatment of women both from the time it's set and the prominent religion in the US. I've seen many frontier/western movies go under the radar because folks can't handle the ugly of their chosen religion and leave negative reviews. If you are someone who understands how the world was/is then you'll enjoy this story. I highly recommend. Definitely not for kids or the ignorant.
