I enjoyed the series which is only PART 1 for those criticizing how she looks, this is not her entire life yet. The season stops when she is 20 & still has 3 more years of her life left which will be in season 2 where she reaches higher stardom and different looks. This is produced directly from her family so I'm glad we got to see how tough their upbringing of the band was as they were growing up. Remember it was always a BAND with Selena of course being the star. And Christian Serratos who played Selena is a teenager in 8 of the 9 episodes so her hair styles are exactly as she wore them during those years. Selena's closest friend Suzette which is also her sister produced this so who better to know then her. Season 2 will show the Selena casual fans know of. For those comparing.. the movie is 2 hrs & season 1 of the series is about 6 hours so its not going to be as fast as a movie as you'd like especially since there's still another season to go.
