The film is far from faithful, the only thing this film had going for it was that it had the elements from the games, sadly they were all in the wrong places, characters were given ridiculous back stories and horrible personalities! Some characters who were likeable in the games are just annoying. When I heard this film would be faithful after seeing the trailers I thought “finally a resident evil film that uses the games to get it correct” well we were seriously misled! There were 6 films before this and they were all wrong in so many ways and this one isn’t any better but Paul W.S Anderson was attached to this one also, not sure if he can handle someone else making another resident evil but this film is horrible! I don’t usually write reviews for films but I love the resident evil games and just want a faithful adaptation to big screen but I feel we will never receive one. RANT OVER!
