"The Fall" is a very well filmed and developed story. The acting of all the cast is accurate and right where it needs to be. No more, no less. For all of you that are used to the fast paced American type of the genre and everything that it includes, the directing will seem a bit/quite slow. But actually it is not because it is very realistic. Real serial, real police people, real police building, with no unnecessary details, no unnecessary high tech gadgets or theatrics. It is purely European (british-irish) style.

Trailing for secrets beneath the sand and snow, presented with the appeal rivaling Bond's, "The Night Manager" delivers excitement beyond the job description. The fine direction and acting skills shown by the main cast makes it one of the best series.

The actors keep you hooked from the very start. Bateman is charming, yet potentially menacing, as David. Brown is not only instantly vulnerable as Louise, but instantly lovable. And as Adele, Hewson covers a 10-year time span so convincingly, it's as though she's playing two different people. Watch Behind Her Eyes. Then watch it again. Then find someone else who has, so you can really talk about it.
