From getting the number of neurons in the human brain off by a factor of 10 to seemingly not understanding that a CT scan does not indicate brain activity to even declaring himself a scientist when he's a surgeon, Alexander shows a complete disregard for basic neurological research and science as a whole. Alexander ignores more plausible scientific explanations of his lived experiences, discussing his experience as "incontrovertible proof of the afterlife" while simultaneously not providing the evidence required to back up his claims of his cortex being completely inactive.
This is a book that is sure to be damaging to the public and further religious dogma using baseless claims filled with Alexander's self-righteous attitude. If you want to read someone's poetic and beautiful psychedelic experience, I suggest reading the experiences of someone who has used DMT. 10/10 would never let this man cut into my brain.
