The character development, arts, graphics, soundtrack, and unsettling atmosphere were intensely innovating I have ever seen in video game history. It was among the best of RPG Maker's works, and better than To The Moon.

I really love this game, excellence narrative cinematics and gameplay and it is GOTY-deserved. But many users and audiences hates/upsets the game because they found out some LGBT-themes (Confirm that Abby is transgender) and only most controversial scene is Joel's death scene. But this game has a lots of emotional and memorable scenes, and this is really story-driven masterpiece.
