It may have been effective back in 1979 but now it has aged as well as milk, (with the only exception being the visual effects which still look amazing). It is way too predictable and ticks off every horror cliche in the book. Their is very little else to the story and the characters that make it worthy of a second viewing

An okay film with great performances and a gripping plot but my main problem is it is way too long and it gets fairly dull. You could lose around an hour and tighten up the story than I would have given this a thumbs up but with the film in this state I would say approach with caution.

Although a bit iffy in series 7 and 8 Red Dwarf is one of the best sitcoms ever made. The characters are brilliant, the sci fi concepts are great and it is very very funny. A must watch

It's bizarre, it's violent and it is brilliant. Despite being a little dated because of it's 80s references it is still an absolute classic, still as funny today as it was back than. I can watch it over and over again and never get board of it.

You could not get away with this today in our PC culture. The crude humour and over the top violence would be bashed by modern PC watchdog groups which I think is a damn shame. Despite not being for everyone Bottom is an absolute cracker, Ade Edmondson and the late great Rik Mayall create 2 incredible characters living rent free in a dank apartment as they try to survive each other and try to reach an end for their everlasting quest for booze and sex. Their characters who we all secretly want to be but can't because of many ethical and legal factors.

One of the best directing debuts from an at the time young director. Along with Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs, El Mariachi is a great example of how you can tell a compelling and entertaining story with little film experience and a tiny budget. The ways Robert Rodriguez gets around some of the technical limitations and tells a great story makes this one of the best foreign language, directorial debut and one of Rodriguez's best films and few of his later films lived up to this with the possible only exception being From Dusk Till Dawn.
