Let me start by saying this game is extremely well made, and feels amazing as an FPS. However, certain aspects of the game make it borderline unplayable for me. The multiplayer is simply toxic. Camping seems to be at an all time high in this game, especially after a relatively fast-paced BO4. Additionally, the skill based matchmaking has made it virtually impossible to play with friends and have all individuals enjoy the game. The gap in skill within a single party can be large, and the skill based matchmaking only hurts those at the bottom tier of skill. It simply is not fun for these players. Further, a hallmark of the COD franchise forme, was the ability to play multiplayer casually with friends. Casual play feels impossible in this game because of the current atmosphere. As a longtime fan of the COD franchise, I think it's unfortunate that IW has put out a game that is alienating its fanbase as much as this one. The toxicity of multiplayer and the skill based matchmaking are genuinely ruining an otherwise fantastic game.
