(Spoilers Ahead!)
Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage - Saw This Film With My Friend On The Opening Day, And I'll Rate It 4/5
I'll Start Off By Saying That This Film Has Two Sides:
1) Venom/Eddie Brock's Funny And Light-Hearted Side
2) Carnage/Cletus Kasady's Violent And Dark Side
Those Two Sides Were Potrayed Really Well. Although I Wish Carnage Got More Screentime In This Film, Atleast He Got More Screentime Than Green Goblin And Rhino In The Amazing Spider-Man 2! Tom Hardy Is Great As Always And Woody Harrelson Is Awesome As Cletus Kasady. There Is One Particular Scene In This Film Where They Tell Kasady's Backstory Through Animation That He Killed Mother, Dog And His Grandmother And His Dad Sent Him To The Place For Unwanted Children And Harrelson's Perfomance In That Scene Was On Point. Also In One Scene, Carnage Literally Turns Into A Giant Fricking Tornado And Kills Warden! Eddie And Venom's Chemistry Was The Best Part Of This Film. Venom Thinks That He Made Eddie Special And Eddie Thinks That Venom Destroyed His Life And At One Point When This Arguing Goes Too Far, They Start Fighting With Each Other And Venom Literally Breaks Eddie's Precious TV And Motorcycle And Then Flip Him The Middle Finger XD I Love How Andy Serkis Decided Not To Make Their Relationship Perfect And Add An Human Element To It. Also, Anne Weying Is A Huge Imporvement In This Film. Michelle Williams Is A Great Actress, Not Gonna Lie, But Her Character In Thie First Film Felt Useless And Underdeveloped. But In This Film, She Played A Huge Role And Helped Eddie. And She-Venom Also Returns For A Split Second, I Wish She Gets Her Own Solo Movie Anytime Soon. Naomie Harris Is Also Great As Shriek, Peggy Lu And Reid Scott Return As The Side-Characters Mrs Chen And Dr. Dan And I Find Them Pretty Entertaining Too. And The Fight Between Venom And Carnage Is Top-Notch! Now, I Know I'm Praising This Film Alot, But I Don't Think It's A Perfect Film Either. I Don't Like How They Killed Off Carnage And Cletus Kasady In The Final Battle, That Was My Biggest Fear That Came True. I Did Like How Shriek Died In This Film A Bell Literally Crushed Her To Death, Kinda Gives Me Gwen Stacy's Death Vibes. Also I Was Confused, Why Does Carnage Wants To Kill Venom? I Do Understand Why Cletus Wants To Kill Eddie Becuase He Published An Article About Him And Didn't Include His Traumatic Childhood In It But Why Does Carnage Wants To Kill Venom? Also, There Are Zero Surprises In This Film, Just Simple And Predictable Storyline. This Film Was Also Much Shorter Than The First One So It Makes The Film Kinda Choppy And Rushed, Especially The Opening Scene Where Shriek Is Seperated From Kasady.
So, These Were My Thoughts On Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage. A Much Better Film Than The First One. It Is Much More Chessy, Funny And Action-Packed Than The First Film And Also Delivers The Carnage That The Trailers Promised (I Hate His Voice Though) And Toxin Will Probably Be The Main Antagonist Of Venom 3 Becuase Detective Muligan's Eyes Glowed Pure White After The Final Battle And Let's NOT Forget The Post-Credit Scene! Tom Holland's Spider-Man Literally Made A Cameo! That Makes Me Excited For The Upcoming Projects And Hopefully We'll See Venom In Spider-Man: No Way Home.
