Cast and crew did a really nice job. I've read many of the Parker novels and enjoyed the old Spenser For Hire series. This is not a remake. Peter Berg and staff tried to break new ground and did so. I enjoyed it strongly as did the chap who I watched it with, a behind the camera technical wizard who actually knew Parker, Robert U. and Avery Brooks because he worked on all or nearly all episodes of the original Spenser TV series. Sorry, Negative Nellies, but he loved this version as well and hopes there will be several sequels ASAP.
