Pathaam Valavu is brilliant. It takes you through the emotional turmoil of a parent, the dilemma of a righteous police officer and the justice dealt to the convict in the climax. Though Suraj started his career with comedy, he is time and again proving that he can do justice to any given role. His first serious performance I liked was inthe movie Action star Biju. May be because I like revenge drama, I liked the movie so much. The emotional turmoil the couple go through in the court premises justifies the main characters' mentality. People may think there's nothing new to offer, but you have to see the actors' justification done to the roles, with whatever they had. Worth watching once, I'll surely watch it again.

One thing about Malayalam movies is that they bring out brilliant and realistic movies, since ages. No larger than life characters or situations are presented in this movie. Kunchako has a likeable role, an actor who always brings you a different character whenever he is on screen. All the actors have done justice to their roles. The situation presented in the movie is expressed lightly, though it is a grave issue - people who want a road in their area. While other states' municipality does the construction work out of the state budget, I have only seen this in Kerala where residents shell out their own money to construct a road. I live in Gujarat where roads are repaired by the municipality. If one of the roads is damaged, u have an app to inform the concerned authorities. The repair work is done on the same night, so that by next morning, you have the road ready for commute. I wonder when my Kerala will rise to that level. BTW I too had to pay for construction of a road outside my house in Kerala, so I can relate to this movie. And I also came across the brilliant concept of noku-kooli, wherein the person building something has to pay someone who does not do any work.

Just when you think you have seen Jayasurya's epic performance in a movie, he amazes you with yet another gem. He has been doing character roles, and not just the regular hero-heroine movie. The director has done an excellent job in researching the character of a drunkard. An actor becomes the master of his craft when he crosses the boundary of his comfort level or image. You can see Jayasurya doing all the activities done by - not a standard drunkard, but a drunkard who has gone beyond a point of return; he is helpless. Liquor impairs your judgement, your sense of self-worth, your self-respect, and this movie shows the harsh reality. Samyukta Menon also excels in the beaten-down wife role, who has given up on her husband. Highly recommended movie for family audience!!!

Guilty is quite gripping. I've always liked Netflix's originals, and this too was a great movie. All the characters are well-written, and the performances are quite convincing. It was an edge-of-the-seat thriller. Kiara has shown that she can carry a movie on her shoulders. How the story unfolds through several characters' versions and flashbacks, shows the director's capability. And last but not the least, the art shown in the ending credits were something different. I would highly recommend this movie if you're a thriller fan.

Manju Warrier rules again. Definitely a contender for National Award. Manju Warrier studies each character she does and excels in the role. I would highly recommend this movie to everyone.

The movie is marvelous. No wonder Rajini Sir gifted a gold chain to the director and Aditi Balan. It;s a story that revolves around common people. It makes you laugh, especially Subhash. The final moments are heart-wrenching. I liked the part where Peter's story becomes real. I wish more movies like this would have been made. Definitely, Oscar-grade cinema. Made by people who love cinema, and do not make movies for commercial purposes.
