Whacky, weird and entertaining. Atmospheric piece with good acting from an ensemble cast. The script drifts a bit and should have been tighter. Some ideas were not well formed - to me the whole idea of Ora and Cutmundus was a little tired. But watch it for an overall good acting from an excellent cast. Tanya Maniktala, Shantanu Maheshwari and Sikandar Kher were pitch perfect, as was Sashwata, Tilottama and Rajatava Dutta. Adil Hussain was underused for an actor of his range. For all its shortcomings, Tooth Pari was entertaining. Watch it for a very different flavour - a virgin blood attempt. Anjan Dutta and Kharaj Mukherjee adds to the delightful dysfunction.

Chaitanya is one of the new breed of filmmakers, much like his mentor Alfonso Cuaron, who will uncompromisingly immerse the viewers in the setting of their films. The Disciple will transport you to the world of classical music. A must watch for every cinema lover.
