Honestly, people are way too harsh on this series. You can tell many didn't ever watch the original nor grow up with the original. I did and this was fantastic. It felt like old times. Granted the stories are not as organic because the times have changed since the 1980s so you can hardly expect the stories to stay in the 80s series of events. All stories evolve with time. This was no exception. The first and last episodes were TRULY magical and even moved me to tears which is no easy task, I assure you. This was well done and I expect more to come despite the younger generations not appreciating a classic revival of a classic series. That should tell you all you need to know about those "reviewers" - ignore them. They don't believe in anything. :)
