This plot kept me guessing. After all Jean Reno hasn’t put out a film with such a mindless storyline with no twists and no climax, well, ever! So I continued to watch hoping something would jump out at me, and it did. I chose a lousy movie to watch. With lovely cinematography and good acting, they could’ve made at least a decent movie. She could’ve been his daughter, or she could have got the upper hand with a real weapon and not a piece of fire wood. Nothing happens. Sean and Roger were into their 60’s when they stopped their handy work and retired I believe. So why not Jean Reno? It’s one of those cinematic downers where one keeps wanting, almost pleading with the screen for anything, a hint of emotion or feeling for the characters and how about just one, “Oh yeah, I get it now, very clever”, but that never happens. It’s too bad because there were several places this movie could have gone, unfortunately it went downhill from the dressed up hay, which I called at the first view of the fake Reno. It would have been nice to have one surprise. Dress it up with some good dialogue and a few more laughs or tears and it could have been worth the time. No thank you!!
