Depressing—almost everyone is maladjusted. More of a soap opera than a mystery.

Touching but really a minor film stretched out about 50% longer than it takes to deliver its meager message, Forman’s is unidimensional with only a few cracks of emoting. Other characters too good to all be rest.

Hagiographic romance. Predictable except for a final chapter that condescends. The author has low regard for his audiences intelligence. I won’t play spoiler but so many superficial and illogical plot turns defy belief and dissipate the warmth cultivated earlier.
