17.7% of the world is Catholic. This may or may not include those raised Catholic who no longer consider themselves Catholic, but this still equates to nearly 1/5 of the world’s population. Apple, how is it a good business model to offend this many people? Whether they are practicing or not, every Catholic knows that the Eucharist is holy and precious and sacred and not to be mocked. Episode 6 of this show was blasphemous, and when considered in the context of the story, so unnecessary. These 2 ridiculously rich people steal jam from an elderly small business owner and instead of buying some other snack to eat with that jam, break into a church and desecrate what 20% of the world believes to be the most holy and sacred consecrated Body of Christ. In a time where we ask for pronouns and cannot mention God in school and tiptoe around holidays originally established by religion, how on earth is it ok to intentionally offend so many people by desecrating the cornerstone of their faith?
