the show is funny and has some philosophical discussion regarding social political climate using scientific theories as background. Yet I do not rate in the level of my favorite adult cartoons like south park and bojack horseman. Heck it does not even qualify to the level of family guy which is more funnier and uses cutaway jokes to do same as rick and morty but again in a lighthearted and funny way. For me comparing this show with bojack horseman is the worse ever comparison. Bojack is nihilist yet enlightening and entertaining. Some of the episodes in it are truly wonderful like the monologue by Diane or the free churros. I have watched all the three seasons of rick and morty and yet to find any episode to be comparable to bojack horseman in terms of philosophical self refection. South park always tops when it comes to political satire masked in profanity. It gives a window to the minds to its creators. The characters grow on us with time with each season. thus they are far more valuable and deserving of cult status then a series that only causes increased demand in schezwan sauce.
