Shockingly real, and even at today's standards this film is visually perfect.
Oh gosh, imagine a script that's written to desribe a bunch of non-believers about an intentional virus release that's inevitably going to remove mankind from Earth. Yes, this is the stuff of sci-fi (or is it) and it is just so well done and so tightly written.
The time travel is very well done...It really keeps you glued to the story, trying to pin down what's going on, and of course everything coming to a head at the end.
Plenty of reviewers here giving praise to Brad Pitt and Bruce Willis who were thoroughly fantastic throughout the movie. And of course the very striking Madeleine Stowe - what a convincing performance... but a shout out to Frank Gorshin for his acting role in the movie.
Most of the young kids will never get this, but all of the older gen will - Imagine seeing "The Riddler" in the middle of this movie, who plays the role of the lead psychologist. It's just so delightful. A job well done from casting for sure.
