Watch it. I wish everyone would watch this film, especially the idiots in the documentary who commented on social media from the bar in Texas. What a bunch of nasty, ignorant buffoons.
I do not know anyone personally who has transitioned so I do not pretend to be an authority. What I can say with conviction is that everyone deserves to live freely and not have to hide who they truly are because of a narrow minded and uneducated society.
Just because we cannot relate, does not mean it is wrong. This documentary opened my eyes to how society makes coming out so terrifying.
Will & Harper had me crying, laughing out loud and truly feeling sincere sorrow for all Harper has had to endure. None of us get through life unscathed in some way but trans people have it so much tougher. This documentary was an eye opener on so many levels. I have a new understanding of the struggles and fear associated with coming out. Thank you for educating me.
Harper has a bravery that is enviable. What a beautiful, strong and courageous woman. And Will Ferrell, I am so glad to see that you are the genuinely nice guy I had hoped you would be. I am so happy that Harper has a friend like you.
