Dopesick was much better. The main character is a know it all in this sorta limits development. It's essentially just the 'modermfication' of better series that came before it.

Doesn't really make an argument. Mainly the authors hits on a broad 400 years of everything is racist talking points. The book mainly provides a way to reinforce an ideology and circle jerks talking points.

Just cringey. I know the filming occurred in 2020 probably so they wanted to capitalize on social discord but watching it in 2022 just comes off as cringey.
Heavy handed political nonsense ruins the escapism people seek when attempting to watch it.
I'm 100% sure Jessie Smollett wrote one of these scenes. Which having it be so forceful in the storyline makes it come off as masturbatory to a sense of martyrdom.

I would say a 3.5 ish. I think they should of flushed out the main story more than the subplot of rich girl and goat. There were so many secondary characters they could of added to instead they went into a whole storyline not related to the main plot at all... like if they would dropped that and added some more information on the performer guy I would give it a 5/5
