Its natural, there were a lot of expectations with the popularity of the 'Artemis Fowl series'. There was the challenge for the film producer which they did not sense well. The fantasy, sentiments and the blend of magic and technology were the major essence of the books and film adaptation mainly works on the presentation of advance technology. A big mistake.
If had read the reviews, I would rather read these books again, no matter how many times.
