To be honest, it wasn’t that bad of a movie at all. It definitely nailed the late 60’s and early 70’s time period.
If you are a hard core Sopranos fan you have to temper your lofty expectations on what a 2 hour prequel can possibly deliver as compared to 86 episodes of the original series.
Vera Farmiga absolutely nails the role of Livia Soprano and Michael Gandolfini isn’t half bad as a young Tony Soprano. Alessandro as Dickie Moltisanti held his own as well.
I am now looking forward to how David Chase will come out with another movie or two to build on this.
