Eccel Ray

It honest to god baffles me that this movie is getting such decent reviews. The humour is forced and badly written to the point of the being groan worthy. The R rating is completely unnecessary for some boring gorey action. The characters have decent moments here and there and Gunns stylistic moments can be interesting at times. However, overall, the movie is badly paced, littered with plot holes and also manages to ruin one of my favourite DC villains of all time. Starro deserved better

A waste of what is an amazing premise. Clichéd dialogues, useless and annoying human characters, and an almost parody of our favourite monsters. There is no sense of the scale of these monsters like the original 2014, as a result the action is hard to follow, though the colour scheme is better. The monsters have become cartoonist with goofy human like expressions which, (and I know I sound crazy when I say this) ruinedthe partial sense of grounding in reality that the previous iterations had. All of it amounting to a lacklustre and quite frankly insulting climax to our favourite titans. Add on top almost shameful ex machina that apparently save the day
