I'm going to give my full, completely honest opinion. I somewhat enjoyed the movie (hence the 2 stars). Somewhat because I liked the message they conveyed and the acting of some cast members did bring the movie from below average to 0.01% above (specifically Tanner Buchanan and Isabella Crovetti and you'll know why I say Isabella after you see a specific teary scene she did). There were a lot of cringe scenes and I honestly would have preferred if Madison Pettis played the lead role because she is good and has been acting since she was a child. Now onto Addison. I honestly expected her acting to be WAY worse so she exceeded my expectation (it doesn't mean she exceeded it by a milestone). Her acting during the scenes she was meant to be bubbly, preppy, and happy was good; that came easily for her. However, we all know that we judge how good someone is at acting during the emotional scenes because acting out strong emotions takes actual talent and I'm afraid to say that Addison failed terribly in that department. Maybe she'll improve, maybe she won't but the next time Netflix wants to cast an influencer for publicity, putting that influencer in the lead role is not the best idea (maybe the best would be for them to play a deuteragonist or a tertiary character) because surely, of all the people who auditioned, there must've been someone who was really good. They could've cast that person and put Addison in a different role for publicity. If you've read this far, thank you for your time.
