Can bad people redeem themselves and do good for the betterment of the world? Can they move on from their terrible mistakes? That's the basic theme of "Thunderbolts". It's also about loneliness. Yelena feels lonely and empty, going from one assignment to another. She wonders what's the point? She wants to quit. Then she meets someone who feels that emptiness to the extreme. We all feel lonely and empty at times and wonder what's the point. We are of the generation where superheroes are not totally pure and good. That they have flaws but are able to put aside their problems and work for the common good. These are the heroes that our world needs in real life. There are so many bad things in this world and we need heroes to fight that evil. Simplistic? Maybe but it's a start.

If you expect it to be like a Bond film or Mission Impossible movie, it's not. It takes a while for it to get going, which is typical of British films. It is one where if you go to the washroom, you will miss parts that are important. Basically, a spy is told that a breach in security has happened, and five are suspected of betraying their country. The interesting part is one of the suspects is the spy's wife who also works for the same agency. Micheal Fassbender and Cate Blanchett play husband and wife and they are a perfect couple. There's very little action except for a jeep being blown up by a drone.

It is a faithful reproduction of the 1922 original. Not a movie for everyone but the Count is extremely scary, specially when he talks. There will be an obvious comparison to Dracula. When it originally came out 102 years ago, yes, 102 years, they tried to get all copies of it destroyed and thankfully they were unable to because it was F.W. Murnau, forgive the spelling, version of Dracula. I believe Shudder has the original and if you don't mind watching a silent movie, worth the watch.

Disturbing but worth it. Not for everyone. There are scenes that don't seem to make sense. My main question is what did the rest of the movie have to do with the opening scenes with Joel going after the drug dealers? This is one of those scenes that doesn't make sense.

The killer's reasons for taking out the track team and the coach one by one is ridiculous. His girlfriend dies of a heart attack after finishing a race and he blames them for it. They are supposed to be senior high school students and yet the boyfriend is like 30 years old. They couldn't find a younger actor who at least looked like he was 18? Some of the dialog is terrible. The lead investigator goes and speaks to the principal and tells him he doesn't like schools. Apparently, Vanna White plays one of the students. Must of been when she was trying to be an actress All in all it's a bad movie.

Very bizarre film. Nicholas Cage plays this very weird guy with a bad long wig who is somehow able to get families to kill each other. First Nicholas plays Dracula in "Renfield" and he is surprisingly very good in the role and now he's playing this strange serial killer. Maybe he's drawn to these weird characters.

Ok timewaster. Had a useless character, the husband, who ends up leaving on some tour halfway through the movie. What did this guy do for a living? Was he a musician because he goes on tour? What kind of tour? Why was he even in it? Just to set up his crazy ex-wife storyline?

They took what could have been a cheezy remake but made it into an incredible realistic masterpiece. Even being in Japanese with English subtitles, it's an amazing experience. You must see it in IMAX. Godzilla may not be in every scene but his presence is felt throughout. It's not only his story but the story of Japan surviving a world war and its aftermath. One former kamikaze pilot, suffering with the guilt of not fulfilling his mission. One single young woman with a child who is not her own. The three find a life together. Then there's Godzilla to deal with. There's heartfelt scenes in this movie which makes it more realistic.

Just finished it. I found it hard to watch. It has lots of characters that I don't know who they are and what they are doing. Is Dreda good or evil? Is Syril good or evil? Who's side is Luthean on, the rebellion or the empire? There's only two characters I do know, mainly from the movies, Mon Motha and Andor. The rest are unknowns. I didn't watch it episode after episode. I watched in pieces. I just hope in season 2, next year, it gets much better. I did like the fact that there's no Jedi reference or Darth Vader reference. That these characters are the unknown rebels that were never mentioned in the movies very much because the rebellion had to start somewhere and it apparently starts on the planet Ferris.

I saw this last night at a three movie drive-in special because it's the long weekend. There was "Firestarter ", the new Nicholas Cage movie, "The Unbearable Weight Of Massive Talent", and this one. It was the longest one and should have been first so I was a bit tired when it came on. I get the concept about the multiverse and Michelle Yeoh is the main character, Evelyn. She's an ordinary woman with a husband, who wants to divorce her, a daughter who is trying to come out and introduce her girlfriend to her parents and grandfather and run a laundromat business and get her messed up taxes done. Then all this craziness starts to happen. Always loved Michelle Yeoh and she does a great job in this but to me, the movie was a bit of a mess and too long. I still liked it but don't get the high praise for it. But it was worth seeing. Just see it by itself.
