This book is extremely well written, treats the reader with respect. It has both poetry as well as prose, but the prose allows the reader to understand the difficulty of achieving any legislation in the current climate of partisanship. It is an honest recollection of the first African American presidency. I am surprised how the reaction of republicans bigotry affected Michelle and how Obama was able to stay above it all. The decision making process comforts me at least that all sides of issues were considered. Above all it is a beautiful read, even though it is over 700 pages. It is a masterpiece and belongs on the bookshelves of all Obama followers.
