this is the quintessential old school kung fu movie - evil monks with almost magical skills and eyebrows for days. the plot is simple enough - two heroes assassinate a head monk of the white lotus clan so the clan seeks revenge. in doing so they kill everyone - i mean everyone - the combat is steady and at times incredibly funny - our villain is the coolest cat since cab calloway - sliding in and out of battle evading blows as though he were taking a leisurely stroll. if you think 36 chambers or 5 deadly venoms are top notch then this will put a smile on your face.
