I am genuinely surprised by the negative reviews. I wonder if others were watching the same movie as me? I loved, loved, LOVED the original Disney animated Mulan. This movie was different. Very BEAUTIFULLY, BREATHTAKINGLY different. The battle scenes, the Chinese backdrop, the costumes all were epic. This movie will be the gateway drug for some younger viewers to discover the massive collection of Asian martial arts movies. I love the Witch, and wish there was more about her. Glad that this movie was made and that I watched it.

One of the best movies i have seen. Shia is compelling. The storyline is heart warming. And Zack likes to party. Its an all around fantastic film.
