Classic Reaction

Like many others here, I have never composed a movie review in my 46 years of life. This movie has the dubious honor of being the first movie I've ever felt compelled enough to spend any amount of my precious time here on this earth warning others to avoid it. Yes......it's really that bad. If you decide to ignore my suggestion and spend your own money and time on viewing this movie, I guarantee you'll get the same feeling within the first 5 minutes that I did. Watching these actors interact with each other and deliver their dialog is literally uncomfortable. There is a stiffness and an amateurish gait to this film that you are waiting on to fade away......but it never does. After about an hour, you're going to be asking yourself if this movie is some sort of joke or maybe a kind of parody that isn't really funny. It's not. It's Just. That. Bad. I'm going to give you one piece of information about this movie that will sum up the entire thing for you, because it epitomizes the film's complete and utter lack of any kind of passion or creativity: One of the characters is a rapper, and his name is Midsize Sedan. That may sound funny or clever to you, but I assure you, it's a very real and exuberant red flag that should warn you of the direction the film is heading. For the first time in my life, I feel like this movie robbed me. Don't let it rob you, too.

As a HUGE Tarantino fan I couldn't wait to see this movie. I was simply disappointed. It is literally an hour too long. They could have cut out 60 minutes of uneeded footage and this one would have been halfway decent.....but still not great. Tarantino completely missed a huge opportunity to delve into the mind of Charles Manson (who doesn't have one line and about 15 seconds of screen time).....and then totally flubs the chance to hand sweet redemption as a real life hero to the aging TV star Dicaprio in the big showdown ending. This one rates last on the scale of Tarantino movies, unfortunately.
