World of Light offers an enjoyable adventure while making plenty of references to major or minor characters related to the included franchises, including a few third-party mentions that didn't make it into the game but nevertheless made impacts on the video game industry (such as Shovel Knight, Rayman, and Shantae). With the ability to support up to 8 players locally; create stages, special rulesets and video clips; a decent online mod with active players; over 100 stages and over 900 hours of music spanning the history of the video gaming industry, there's always a different way to play.
