I find the negative reviews interesting here, and frankly they appear to be from those who are lacking an appreciation of superb character development and story telling, which this series delivers in spades! It is an adult-oriented Star Wars story, far removed from the many simplistic (and often terribly written) Star Wars offerings. It is the first I have experienced that actually has me on edge with the dramatic story. I really enjoy the humanization (albeit it bad humans) demonstrated by those in service of the Empire. First show that has shown this side of the characters, and it makes their evil deeds all the worse as a result. Also makes it feel much more genuine! I love all things Star Wars, but the reality is many of the villains are nothing more than one-dimensional cartoon characters. Simply not the case here. Absolutely love this series!! Took all that was great about Rogue One and advanced it to the next level.
