The best part about captain marvel is that it almost seems too aware of its weaknesses. It's 2 hours long, almost the shortest MCU movie yet, since it has nothing to say or show. It has poorly lit awkwardly directed action scenes, because there is no stylistic approach or edge to the action. It pushes a cat and nick fury to the front, and tries to make them the emotional core of the movie because it's own lead is wooden and awkward when it comes to acting. All in all, marvel will do better to pitch it in the same breath as endgame as many times as possible, because without that there is little reason to go waste 300 bucks on this garbage. 2/10. Not recommended.
