I'm not expert in JFK assassination theories but the theme of an out-of-control CIA plus complicity from other government agencies and actors has been widely researched and written about. Douglass' account seems plausible and honestly presented. His respect for Catholic monk Thomas Merton have led me to read some of his work. Merton's own mysterious death while at an interfaith conference in Thailand raises concerns. One is left with the notion that Western governments are as untrustworthy as those elsewhere.
