Very realistic - main girl was quite a boring character with little emotion considering what she was doing. Her cousin had more humanity. Ok - not great.

Wonderful film. Sadly, spiritual films like this on an epic scale are few and far between. The American Evangelical ones don’t count as they are schmaltzy and sweet saccharine. This is Scorsese working at a gentle and still beautiful level.
