I have trouble believing this is the same author as the much loved Washington Poe series. It reminds me of Joey Barton putting on a fake accent. Craven is trying too hard to appeal to an American audience by creating a Reacher type character from the good old US of A with his mandatory old burger and beers. I think he should stick with the tried and tested method, which I believe he is excellent at.
