This movie was made at a time when homosexuality was a taboo subject, therefore; it doesn't make much sense. The actor, Hurd Hatfield, has about as much charisma as a block of wood. Donna Reed, in a thankless role, is unimpressive. Angela Lansbury is adorable. They should do a remake. Maybe not.

GREAT movie! Burton chews up the scenery in spectacular fashion. Ava Gardner is absolutely wonderful in a role she was born to play. Grayson Hall is deliciously wicked as the repressed lesbian tour leader. Must watch!

Infinitely touching and sweet movie, starring Bette Davis & the luminous Lillian Gish. The supporting actors are all first rate. Beautifully written, filmed and directed, the wonderful score all make this excellent movie a classic.

A dreary, relentlessly grim film. Kim "Stanley" was such an "oh, so serious" actress. Off-putting! She was too old & unattractive to play Marilyn Monroe.

Sweet, wonderful family movie! Leslie Caron is the only actress who could play Lili convincingly, authentically. The children were totally absorbed. Great supporting cast, direction, score, everything!

Gene Tierney is luminous, Tyrone Power incredibly handsome & believable, wonderful Herbert Marshall is excellent as always, but it's Clifton Webb who steals the show.

Preposterous movie, miscast actors, ridiculous dialogue and worse direction.

Lavish spectacle. Elizabeth Taylor is gorgeous, but seems miscast as Cleopatra. Her voice is querilous, reedy. Perhaps, Eartha Kitt might have been a better choice? Richard Burton chews up the scenery. Rex Harrison and Roddy McDowell are excellent. Beautiful score by Alex North.

One of my very favorite movies. John Ford's masterpiece boasted excellent actors, gorgeous music and amazing photography. Very moving film.
