I love mortal kombat, every sense I played the very original one with my brother and friends Back on the super nintendo.
This film feels more like a Fanfiction then a movie and here is why.
No tournaments!!! For some reason earth realm wins even though they didn't win the tournament. Just some kind of invasion?
The baby was a her. But, yet grow up to be a he? Like excuse me, how did you not catch this?
Then Melaena best feature was literally at her death?
Every villain but Shang Tsung died and Shang Tsung felt more like a support character then a main villain. Shao Kahn was barely mention even though he was ruler of Outworld, but I guess that's not important enough.
Characters felt rush and not loveable expect Kano and Kabal.
Reptile was just some random creature sent to attack?
Sub zero armor looks more like noob saibot.
Robot parts and limbs are magic I guess? Let me go find merlin to cast robots to fight in the medieval day's so that king Arthur can automatically win.
When Sub zero Death was just a joke and didn't even mean anything when scorpion got the final blow. I felt like sub zero should had done something with his arms and turned them into ice creating smoke making him escape which would had been a better approach or ending cause he atleast try'd to stop scorpion flame.
The mother and Daughter felt useless, just like Shang Sung.
I mean, y'all had a interesting concept don't get me wrong. It's nice to see a new change of pace. With mortal kombat 11 ending in new a multiverse. Which I could understand some of the new ideas added. But oh my gosh they were executed horrible.
I lost interest after seeing reptile and was bored to see kano part of the main character roster and Just wanted the movie to end.
The only best part of the movie was the credits, cause that means I can now go play my game or do something more fun.
If there is another sequel to come, I do hope y'all do a much better job at. But this film feels way to Fanfiction then an exactly movie. If this is the story your going with you might as well ask Michael Bay to help with it.
But for now, gotta give this film a 1. I was so hyped to see this, but not.... Very disappointed and Betrayed.
