I watched this in my third quarantine, so maybe it's just the nostalgia of every day life, but this has become one of my favourite films. The characters are beautifully portrayed and great people, and the story is simple but engaging. I got pretty sucked in. Weirdly, I thought the likes of Spirited Away would remain my favourite Ghibli movie, but this one might have taken over.
