This is a movie with great potential that was ruined by DC and WB's desire to catch up to Marvel, especially in 2016, the year Civil War came out alongside this movie.
Firstly, the acting was great. I thought Ben Affleck was great as Batman, and I would have liked to see him return for the Batman solo film, but oh well. I still have confidence in Robert Pattinson. I'm not a big Superman fan, but I still enjoyed Henry Cavill's performance for the character. I also enjoyed Jesse Eisenberg's portrayal of Lex Luthor. Again, I'm not a big Superman fan, but I did see the animated Justice League series, and it was cool to see Lex Luthor portrayed like this. Gal Gadot may not have been the star, but she still was a great Wonder Woman, and it was cool for her to get her own movie. The rest of the acting was great as well, but those were the performances that stuck out in particular for me.
Secondly, I liked the tone. Some people may not have liked it and said the film was too dark, but it was able to bring realism to the characters maybe not like Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy, but it did fine. It was interesting to see how well Superman would actually fit into society today. AKA not at all.
Again though, while those factors were great, the rest of the movie felt rushed, sloppy, and the film really should have come later on in the DCEU. Zack Snyder did a fine job considering the kind of film he was making, and really tried his best.
I enjoyed the movie, but I'm not sure if I would really rewatch it. Maybe a couple times, but not a whole lot.
