First off, let me say that the gameplay is amazing. The game is halo at its core, a sandbox that lets you go crazy in how you approach every encounter. If you like combat evolved, specially the silent cartographer mission (I think thatโs what itโs called) youโll love this game. In addition, the grappling hook totally changes the dynamic of the game. It opens up a degree of verticality not found in previous games that totally revitalizes the series for me. I do have some gripes. 1. The rest of the equipment is not as fleshed out or impactful as the grappling hook. Making them gimmicks more than useful additions. 2. The narrative of this game is serviceable, but I wouldnโt say it compares to other games of the same caliber. The story is convoluted, complicated and teeming with characters. Iโd recommend you watch a recap before starting the game. In addition, the story elements are mostly assigned to conversations between characters or holograms of characters speaking. While some moments are honestly thoughtful, the exposition becomes at time boresome. Again, if you are in it for the gameplay, definitely get it, but donโt get it for the narrative.
