I loved this show at first - it seemed real, and dealt with real problems. Then I started seeing moments that made me think, "wow, that's kind of selfish..." or "holy privilege Batman..." and the moments kept multiplying as the episodes went on. The storyline with Deja being adopted really upset me, since they would never have the child in the courtroom when the mother terminates rights, and turning the mother into a villain for it is a horrendous thing to do when it's actually a very brave action. Kevin forcing his way into his uncle's life, who has PTSD, is also very selfish, since he pops in and out for a single moment. The Pearsons are never shown to be at fault for anything, which is a terrible choice in my opinion.
