I truly enjoyed watching this movie. It was eye opening to have a first hand look into not only what an American Factory looks like, but more so what happens when two cultures try to come together. Some of the scenes were in all honestly simply shocking! Many times I wondered "are they allowed to show this?" or "Is this legal to say, won't they get in trouble?".
And the fact that a documentary makes me think that way, attest to the dept the production team has gone to show the whole truth and nothing but it.
There are many key concepts and insights you can take away after watching this documentary. From the meaning of work, what should constitute fair labor, how can the rights of employees and the goals of management meet in the middle. But alas, the ending scenes as another reviewer mentioned is the part we should all pay attention to. Automation is here, it's not coming but it's here already. How can we still secure a sound future for ourselves and those coming after us, while knowing some of the jobs we've relied on for generations simply won't be there any longer.
This is a question we should all be actively finding the answers to now.
