Even tho they took out some of the classic things I love from Mulan like the singing and talking animals. It was an amazing movie they even added a story line that was not in the original. While staying respectful they showed Chinese culture in such an amazing way and not in a corny borderline stereotypical way. Changing her name from ping to a respectable Chinese name was a good move.
