A point if I may, and a question
I have always felt that an elected member of parliament would be best suited to hold the ministry or opposition post appropriate to their education and professional experience.
I'm therefore bemused to say the least, that some of those elected hold numerous, to my mind, unrelated posts
For example-
Penny Wong- Bachelor Arts Law
Positions- Minister Climate change and water
Minister Finance and deregulation
Shadow Foreign affairs
Chris Bowen- Bachelor Economics
Positions- Minister for Immigration
- Minister for Financial services
- Treasurer and shadow treasurer
- - Shadow minister for health
Is there anyone in parliament working in an area in which they hold professional qualifications and have worked in for over 5 years?
If not, why not?
