It's better than the NES version because the turtles have their weapons. However the controls are a bit stiff, making it difficult to execute combos and special moves. This is an awesome game. Nothing much I can say..X is a lot tougher and stronger even without the armor. You need the armor tho..His armor is very good and makes up for his endurance. I like this game and fun to play.

The only thing that makes this game awful is the armor. The armor is garbage making X a little weaker. Not too bad for a 3rd sequel for the series but the armor is trash.
